Jon's Quilt Blog
That's the finished colored drawing for my quilt top. I think I even have enough fabrics to do it. Only time, of course, will tell. Time will also tell you that I've been a bad blogger. I can't lie, I have no excuses. I just haven't felt so much like blogging. But I feel bad about it. I want to let you know what I've been up to.
I've finished most of the Matinee Coat; I'm just working on the picot edging which is annoying and takes forever but does look pretty cool. I didn't feel like shooting it yet, though. I thought I'd wait until I'm done and have it blocked. I haven't finished the Green Aran blankie yet, either, but hope to get it done soon.
What I have (also) been doing is working, going to the gym, and starting my quilt top:
It's a lot faster than knitting and so easy to do amazing colorwork. I think I will enjoy quilting a lot. Except for the parts where I poke myself with the needle and say "Ow" or "Damn." That happens a lot. I have a thimble and I guess maybe I should think about using it.
Anyhow, I figured you'd want to know what's been going on, and that's pretty much the quick version. I have a funny feeling that I'll blog again before the week is out, though. OK?
Oh, and sorry for the cruddy photos. I used my phone rather than the "real" camera. What? It was quicker, and this way at least you got to see something...
