The Good News: I knit six rows of Zauberflote tonight. Granted, one was a single color row that took a fraction of the amount of time a pattern row takes.
The Bad News: I dropped a stitch. Of course, given how sticky the yarn is, I couldn't find it the first time I went across that row again. I did find it the last time, a few years after I'd fudged something resembling a Make 1... so I have to figure out a way to ladder it up and half-graft it to something. Fun, no?
The Obituaries: RIP, Mr. Pryor and Mr. McCarthy.
Posted by Jon at December 11, 2005 01:26 AMbefore you worry about laddering and grafting, make damn sure it's actually noticible that it dropped! I found a dropped stitch on my dad's vest, but found NOTHING wrong with the pattern, and I couldn't tell the stitch was missing from the outside. So I just stuck a stitch marker through it on the inside, and will use one of the ends to tie it off in the finishing process!
