Well, I've decided that I have a crush on another gay knitblogger.
Too bad he lives in a different city than I do! And no, I'm not telling who it is, and you probably can't guess. But he's really cute. Really, really cute. At least, in the photo on his page...
Anyhow, I haven't touched BCG (or any other knitting) in the past couple of days. I have been looking at patterns, especially at "Family Album" by Kaffe and Zoe, to try and figure out some ideas for the new Baby Blankie. I hate that I keep being drawn to such difficult intarsia designs, but they look so cool! The leading contenders are a blanket of a ton of multi-colored little blocks (5 sts across, 6 rows each; or 10 sts across, 12 rows), or the crazy multicolored cable design in that same book. Both blankets would probably have to be lined, given how many ends there would be as a result of the intarsia. And I have not yet lined a knit project. But I assume it's possible.
And that's all for now. I have to meet my boss at a Jewelry Shop. (And no, I will not be buying anything for the above-mentioned crush.)
Posted by Jon at February 22, 2005 11:42 AMJon, you tease! I wonder many people are going to be surfing the Queer Knit ring to see if they can figure it out? Hmmm? Have fun!

Good luck with the baby blanket...just a pragmatic question--will intarsia be "baby friendly"? I'm just wondering about all those little captured loops might be too easily snagged on sharp baby finger-/toe-nails?
Cables - always your best! Do those.
Have a great day.
