It's True! Guys join the Knitting Craze!.
The one thing I don't get about the article? The snowboarding guys who knit their own winter-wear as a way to save money. Can someone actually give me a concrete example of a hand knit item which costs less than a store bought one? Unless, it's a store that sells hand knits, but how many of those are there? And are any of them cheap?
Still, cool article. And the Men Who Knit web-ring was linked! So was MenKnit.net!
Posted by Jon at February 3, 2005 03:41 PMYeah, but I did knit a scarf for $23 of alpaca that I could'nt have gotten for anything near that; but something tells me teenage boys aren't out there spending their cash on alpaca or merino. Well, some might be.
Otherwise, I'd say 'f**k', if I'd known it was gonna be trendy, I wouldn't have started.
Well, I was thrilled when my mom told me that my 10-year-old nephew wanted to learn how to knit. I only wish I were there to teach him.
