Fun With Jon and Alpaca

(And a little bit of some other yarns, too. The red is Primo, and I am pretty sure the white is baby cashmerino.)

In other news, I am thinking about trying a Dale pattern. It's a toss up between this or this. I know the second one is named Hardangervidda from Dale book 126 (Same one as Ingeborg!) but I'm not sure what the first one (who I think I like better because there are more colors) is called... Please vote.

And please check out the previous entry for the real impressive knitting feat of the day. Not that I'm not proud of how quickly I turned this square out, but the next one is, well, major...

Onto your questions: the LYS is the LYS to the office, and it's Stitches East (52nd btwn Mad. & Park). I was really upset about that whole thing. Thanks for the link...I haven't looked at it yet, but I will when I'm ready to graft the toe to the next pair of socks. And the meetup? Sign up at meetup.com for knitting meetups. My husband signed me up since I can't access it from work. The meetups are once a month, the 3rd Wed. of the month. You can vote for location (Knit NY, Citicorp Atrium - where last night's was, and other locations as well). It's really cool, and I hope that you'll come next month. The girls I sat with said that no matter where next months is, we're meeting at the Atrium on the 21st of July. Come and join us!!

Stitches East is just a strange store. I only go in there if I am chomping at the bit for a certain knitting something and don't have time to go to a better store as it is right around the corner from where I work, too. Can you imagine how busy and awesome they could be if they did it right?

Jon, I'm glad it's not just me with Stitches East. They would do so well if they did things right.

You're going to have to move that pic of the elephants...I'm going to be tempted to ask you where you got the pattern so I can make it... :)
