So I gave in.
I gave in totally, to the wonderous joy that is Colinette.

BGWA begins. I know, I know, I wasn't supposed to start it until I finished PPD and the Waving Lace sock but I'm just a bad boy. I just needed a new color. Honest, I did.
You may notice the basket which the yarn is in. It's from my February trip to Tanzania. I love this basket; it is gorgeous, and the perfect size to hold a good sized knitting project. I am concerned about keeping the yarn clean, as you will see -- it's all in ziploc baggies accordingly. It's nice, so far, but those 11 needles are big! And I think I'm allergic to mohair, which is a bummer because there are three skeins in this project. I'll deal, but it's just that the yarn is so shaggy/sheddy... The fandango also gives off a lot of dust when being wound. I hope that it doesn't affect my allergies, though, when I go to knit it up. I'll let you know, though.
Posted by Jon at May 17, 2004 11:59 AMMohair consistently tries to do me in, too. :) I've found that keeping a large glass or bottle of water near me to drink when working with it helps stop the throat-choking from the fuzz of it. I also have to stop and wash my hands more often. It's just so steenkeen' pretty, you can't stop yourself from working with it!
Posted by: Cyndilou at May 18, 2004 08:06 AMWelp. You know if you just can't BEAR that colinette mohair, I'd be happy to help. Yup. You can just ship 'em out my way, and I'll take REALLY good care of those skeins. Really. Honestly. I won't mind.
