are here now. Yup, eight skeins, seven shades, of Alice Starmore Hebridean from Virtual Yarns to make the Elephant Waistcoat.

Trouble is, I need the pattern. Annoyingly, I never saw any part of the website telling you that the pattern book was needed to make this vest. Arrgh.

Now I have to wait for a copy of this to show up. It will ship out on the 25th from Amazon. Cheaper, and quicker to get here, than from Virtual Yarn. Still, wouldn't it be nice if, on the page with the pattern details, you were advised that you had to buy the book in order to get the pattern?

At least I got Alice's autograph... and the colors are pretty, and the yarn feels nice...

I just did a websearch and discovered, not that it's a big surprise, that Wendy has knit this vest, so I have some big shoes to fill here...
