Back Tuesday Evening

Barring the unforeseen, I should be back in my apartment Tuesday evening after five weeks of traveling. If I'm a bit...incommunicado...for a couple of days, it's probably because I'm buried under mail, email, and other bits and pieces of my life as I try to get things back in order after being away so long.

So...let's make plans. I've missed all my friends and I want to catch up with you all as soon as we can manage it.

Still in London

If you're paying attention, you probably know that I was supposed to be back in New York today. Well, I'm having such a great time that I decided to extend my trip for another week and I'm now scheduled to return on March 27th.

Anyone want to pick me up in Newark? :)

To The Country

Spent a fabulous few days seeing the English countryside. First, it was off to Cheltenham and then down to Plymouth to check out Devonshire and Cornwall.

I'll hopefully be posting pictures at some point.

It was dreamy.

I've also seen some more theatre. Caught the long-running Billy Elliot at the Victoria Palace and a revival of Edward Albee's The Lady From Dubuque starring Maggie Smith and featuring a mostly American company that included actor Robert Sella, a personal favorite of mine.

As always, more later when I have time.

And...Hello from Camden Town

Just checking in to say hello during a spare moment.

Spent today on Hampstead Heath and nearby at Kenwood House. Then I went to see the long-running West End thriller The Woman in Black, which had a brief run a couple of years ago off-Broadway. Very creepy!

What else have I seen? A revival of a French sex farce called Boeing Boeing, the aforementioned Equus, and a Christopher Hampton play called Treats, which stars a woman called Billie Piper, who is quite popular here from appearing on Doctor Who for awhile. All have been excellent.

Heading into the country on Wednesday and that will be fun.

Cheerio...From London

Having a great time in London...

Last night I caught the much talked about West End revival of Peter Shaffer's Equus starring Richard Griffiths and a very naked Daniel Radcliffe of Harry Potter fame. It's very good.

Oh, and that one picture that's been circulating of Radcliffe's penis? Definitely fake.

Too much to do to write, but later...

On Vacation

I've been a poor correspondent, I know.

I just haven't had much inclination to blog from down here in sunny Florida. I've been spending a lot time lounging by the pool and running around with my parents and enjoying the weather, and just haven't wanted to take any time here.

Tomorrow I'm off to London for the second half of my trip and, perhaps, I'll be more disciplined there.

I've basically been hanging out by the pool and not doing much of anything of import down here in Florida.

I'll catch up with you later, hopefully from the UK.
