I always think it odd when Weather.com says there's a 30% chance of rain - and it's pouring outside.
In other news, I saw "South Pacific" last night at Carnegie Hall. It was a wonderful evening. Reba's just a fun onstage presence, although I think she'd have benefited from one or two more rehearsals. Lately, I haven't been a big fan of Stokes as an actor, but he's got some serious pipes, you have to admit. He brought the house down on "This Nearly Was Mine."
I think the best part was, perhaps, the orchestra. The overture was glorious, and particulary given the acoustics of the hall and the way that the singers were amplified, the orchestra clearly came out sounding the best. Although Jason Danieley as Cable and Lilias White as Bloody Mary were pretty damn great, too.
In all, it was a lot of fun. And sadly, now I have to get ready to go to work. Bleah!
