Not Often Enough

I keep forgetting to post here. Even when I have brilliant ideas for something to blog about.

Like this idea:

One of my favorite things to imagine up, when I have the opportunity, is a brilliant Drag Name. Not that I'm a drag queen or anything. I've put on a dress a couple of times (most recently for Halloween of 2000, if memory serves), but I just think that Drag Names have a lot of potential for amusement.

One of my favorites which I came up with is Jacqueline Cousteau. Her personal slogan would be "Darling, it's better down where it's wetter, take it from me." Which is nasty but funny and I like it. But we also need drag queens who aren't always stuck wearing sea-foam green.

Back when I used to ride the subway really frequently (and probably only New Yorkers will get this one), I thought Anita Queens would be a really funny drag name. (Does anyone get this? Is anyone even reading it?)

But this weekend, I came up with what may be the funniest yet. She's a Jewish girl from Puerto Rico. Miss Mary Cohn. (You have to say it out loud to get it. If you don't get it at all, let me know in the comments and I'll reveal the "why it's funny, at least in my warped little world" tomorrow.)

I like Miss Mary Cohn. Very nice.

The "Miss" really makes it, I think...

Sounds cool. Enough of Patty O'Chair and the like. A JAP diva drag queen. Hits my funny bone hard.

Great blog posts by the way. Tight and free-spirited. I enjoy the originality.

My favorite is Toolita Pepsi. And I'm also partial to Bea Movie (which is what I was dubbed by a drag queen a long time ago ... I was told many years ago it's better to be given a name than pick your own)
