Ok, if any of you out there are in NYC and appreciate really phenomenal food, all I can say is:
Get thee to 5th Street. Jack's Luxury Oyster Bar is a revelation. I went with my friend JR, with whom I went to Per Se. We liked the food at Jack's LOB better. Better, I tell you. Plus, there were cute guys at the next table and a fun chef who I got a hug from at the end. She's a she, but still, a hug is a hug.
And I got really shit-faced drunk, too. I think I needed that.

Who knew that foie gras, a biscuit and stawberry jam could bring such pleasure when found on the same plate together. Of course, being the only table in the room to be served this dish did cause our fellow diners to look at us with envious eyes, but I don't care.
Cute waitor, great female chef, cute boys at the table beside us and Jon getting shit-faced drunk are also true. A great evening and a better meal than even Per Se could offer.
So, as Jon says, get thee to 5th Street!
