How Fucking Stupid Are You, George?

Officials Say Bush Seeks $600 Million to Hunt Iraq Arms.

Jesus Fucking Christ. I really didn't think he could get any stupider. Isn't it obvious that any weapons that Iraq had have already been destroyed or removed from Iraq? Isn't it bullshit to be spending MORE money on trying to find something that, if it actually exists, is comparable to one needle in ten thousand haystacks? Doesn't our international reputation mean anything to you? If you're going to waste more money on Iraq, which is so obviously a fucked up cause at this point, shouldn't you spend it on something useful? Like infrastructure?

Enough people have died and enough money has been wasted, and guess what? There's still not ANY concrete evidence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

If you're going to spend $600 million on something, spend it on schools here in the states. Spend it on AIDS or Cancer research. Spend it on global warming research so that you can realize that you really have to sign the Kyoto Treaty before the rest of the Ice Caps melt and half of the country is underwater. Spend it on alternative energy source research so that we're not relying on foreign oil. Jesus, buy everyone in the US a fucking ice cream cone.

But don't waste the money on a cause that you've already lost just because you're a narrow-sighted, narrow-minded ninny.

Don't we own Iraq? Isn't that like me paying myself to find my keys in my apartment?

Pretty fucking much.

I agree.
But I also think it's not enough to get mad...we have to SPEAK UP! If only 10 or 20% of the 260,000,000 people in this country contacted their public officials, it would make a difference. We are always pounding on our chests about our wonderful democracy. Democracy is only of value if people use it! It's easy to contact them: www.senate.gov, www.house.gov, president@whitehouse.gov, vice.president@whitehouse.gov.
It takes, literally, seconds to let them know how you feel.
If we don't do it...we're not much different than all those other countries, where the leaders make all the decisions WITHOUT the people...

Zenchick:

The point, and a large part of the problem, is that Bush doesn't listen to anyone except his own bullshit driven agenda. Me writing him, or Chuck or Hillary, ain't gonna make any difference around here.

And that's the sad part about living in a republic that pretends it's a democracy.

I agree, it's frustrating. But there are many, many things in life that people thought could never change, that did, for example, slavery, or women not being able to vote.
Sorry, Jon...hope springs eternal with me :)
and if one decides it "won't do any good," and therefore doesn't do it...than it doesn't, does it?
Peace :)
