Anyhow...

After he referred to a gay bar as a "sausage carnival," Paul Katcher is out of the running for our Token Straight Blog Link.

Oh well. We don't need them anyhow. Think of what straight men have done for the world - folks like George W. Bush or Carrot Top.

'Nuff said.

yeah, that guy needs to spend a lot of time worrying about gay waiters winking at him!

It was a joke. What part did I get wrong? The "sausage," a word used to help describe any male-heavy joint? The "carnival," which is how I would describe any place with topless bartenders and live shower shows -- also known as Splash, which is the place I was tricked into going to a few years back?

I don't think that's a wildly inaccurate description from a guy whose writing is sarcastic and un-PC. Nor is it passing judgment on you or anyone else. When I write that it's not my bag, it's not.

Regulars to my site have read me bash Birmingham, Ala., for refusing to air Ellen, lament that Sandy Koufax was so furious about being pegged as gay, attack or simply delete comments who write in that Derek Jeter isn't worth rooting for because he is a "homo" or Kansas State fans calling their crossstate rivals the "Gayhawks," question the modernity of the Catholic religion for its antiquated stances on abortion and homosexuality, etc, etc.
